Algidon Gym

Introduction

The Algidon Gym is the official Gym of Algidon Town.Town. It is based on Ice-type Pokémon. The Gym Leader is BapyCal, the sixth Leader of the Lekar League. Trainers who defeat them receive the Frostfall Badge.

Appearance

The Gym arena itself is small, situated under the shadow of the nearby Ice Spire. The floor is made of ice, with soul lanters placed around the battleground. A few rows of seating are available for spectators.

Puzzle

The Gym's puzzle, a requirement for facing the Leader, sends the challenger underground into a series of ice caves. Challengers are tasked with retrieving three items: the Crystalline Jewel, the Floe Remnant, and the Glacial Gemstone, each hidden in chests behind one of 19 doors in three separate chambers. As entering the wrong door results in the challenger sinking in the snow, it cannot be easily brute-forced. There are two possible methods for completing the puzzle, the easier "Memory Route" and the harder "Cipher route". Hints of increasing helpfulness are included in books by the chambers for those who need assistance.

Battle

BapyCal's party features Ice-themed Pokémon between levels 50-55.
